PMP (Project Management Professional) is a designation given to individuals that have gained the PMP certification. Professionals from over 200 countries have gained the PMP certification which is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
On On 26 March 2018, PMI released an updated version of PMP which reflects new terminology contained in the sixth edition of the PMBOK guide. It also includes new content on Agile/adaptive environments, key concepts, trends, tailoring, strategic and business knowledge as well as the PMI Talent Triangle.
Gaining the PMP certification validates that you have the necessary skills, experience and training to take on complex and large projects. You will not only learn how to control and manage a project, but to make the critical decisions needed when working on a project.
