Course prerequisite: You will need a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent), 7,500 hours of experience in leading projects and at least 35 hours of project management educational training before you will be able to study the PMP course.
Study time: 30-40 hours

Certification Details

In order to achieve your Project Management Professional (PMP) certification you will be required to meet the education and experience requirements before taking the exam; as well as pass the PMP exam once you have completed this training course. There are two requirements options to choose from:

Complete 35 hours of formal project management training (self study does not apply)
Secondary diploma (high school or equivalent)
Complete 7500 hours directing and leading projects

OR

Complete 35 hours of formal project management training (self study does not apply)
Four year degree
Complete 4500 hours directing and leading projects

Completing this Project Management Professional training course will fulfil the formal training requirements. After you have met the other requirements you will be able to apply for your PMP exam. Once you have passed your PMP exam, you will be awarded the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
