Yes, it is mandatory if you have not completed a SCRUM certification listed by the APMG. All students must complete the SCRUM Essentials or an APMG listed certification before starting AgilePM Foundation. This is because the foundation course assumes a certain level of knowledge on SCRUM framework. You won’t need to sit the SCRUM exam – just completing the course is enough to move forward.
The Foundation level focuses on understanding AgilePM concepts, roles, principles, and terminology. It’s about building a strong theoretical foundation. The Practitioner level, on the other hand, is where you apply that knowledge to realistic project scenarios.
