    ITIL® v4 Foundation

    What You Will Learn

    ITIL®, which stands for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a set of best practices for IT service management. It provides a framework for managing & delivering IT services in a consistent and efficient manner. The ITIL® framework is divided into 5 main categories.

      Service Strategy

      This is the first stage of the ITIL® framework. It deals with the development of a strategic plan for IT services, including the identification of customer needs and the development of service offerings.

      Service Design

      This is the second stage of the ITIL® framework. It deals with the design and development of IT services, including the design of service management processes and the selection of appropriate technology.

      ITIL® stands for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, which is a framework designed to standardise the selection, planning, delivery, maintenance, and overall lifecycle of IT services within an organisation.

      The ITIL® Foundation certification is for anyone who needs to understand the key concepts of IT and digital service delivery or for those looking to help their organisations embrace service management.

      The ITIL® Foundation certification is assessed and awarded by means of an examination. This exam comprises of 40 multiple choice questions (meaning you will have to select your answers from the options you are provided with). Your exam will be 60 minutes long, and you will be required to score 65% (26 out of 40) or higher in order to pass. This is a closed-book exam.

      This certification serves as an introduction to the ITIL® framework and will essentially validate your knowledge and understanding of ITIL so that you are able to work with, or as part of, an ITSM team.
